519 – Kid's Cold Weather Hood Pattern

This detachable hood pattern can be used to make a warm lined hood for children that can be conveniently attached with velcro to any existing jacket. Make a lined waterproof hood that has a drawstring, or a fleece hood with bound edges. The fleece hood can also be worn as a helmet liner. The front attaches at the throat with velcro.
Suggested Fabric:
Lined Hood - Outer fabric: waterproof, waterproof breathable, or water repellent fabric; Fleece Fabric: PolarTec 200.
Fleece Hood - Fleece fabric: PolarTec 200, 300, or Windblock; Stretch binding: 4-way stretch nylon/lycra.

Lined Hood: 1/3 yd (.3m) 3/4" (2cm) velcro, 1-1/4 yd (1.2m) 1/8" round cord, two small ball toggle locks.
Fleece Hood: 1/4 yd (.23m) 3/4" (2cm) velcro.
