509 – Kid's Polar Jacket & Vest

Multi-Sized Pattern for Kids:  Sizes 4 - 14.

Skill Level:  3, Medium Difficulty

Make a hooded or collared cozy warm polar vest or jacket with this one pattern.  Jacket and vest have a a full front zipper, zippered chest pocket with a flap and two side handwarmer pockets.  All edges are finished with a nylon/lycra binding for comfort and ease of wearing.  This is a great pattern for outfitting your kids for cool weather.

Suggested Fabric:
Main Fabric - Medium-weight fleece fabric.  MUST have crosswise stretch for sizing to be accurate.  
Pocket - Any lightweight woven nylon
Binding - 4-way stretch Nylon/Lycra.

Notions:
Polyester thread, one 7" pocket zipper, one separating zipper (sizes 4-6: 18"; sizes 8-10: 22"; sizes 12-14: 24"), 1/4 yd (.23m) 1/4" (.7cm) flat cord or nylon tape.
