How To: Fanny Pack

Instructions for sewing a fanny pack or waist pack.  One size.

This How-To tells you exactly the fabric dimensions to cut, and all the steps to make a waist pack or fanny pack.  Easy and quick, this project will make a great bag that is perfect for hiking or a day out and about.  It is a fairly large pack, meaning there is room for a small water bottle, wallet, phone, keys, and more!  Also great worn as a cross body bag. 

Bag finishes at: 2.5" (6.4cm) deep x 12" (30.5cm) wide x 5.5" (14cm) tall

Materials Needed:
1/3 yd (30.5cm) . . . 45" (115cm) Pack Cloth or Cordura (or other sturdy fabric)
OR
3/8 yd (34.3cm) . . . 60" (150cm) Pack Cloth or Cordura (or other sturdy fabric)

1/2 yd (45.7cm) #5 or #7 coil zipper
Two #5 or #7 coil zipper pulls
3/4 yd (68.5cm) 1" (2.5cm) nylon webbing
One 1" (2.5cm) side-release buckle
