Make insulated mittens for everyone in the family with this sewing pattern!  Warm and waterproof, great for all winter -- these mittens will see you through.  These can be made with or without insulation, and the insulated mittens can also be quilted.  

Suggested Fabrics:
Outer Fabric: Water repellant or waterproof breathable
Interlining: Thinsulate or 4oz. needlepunch
Lining: for 2-layer mitten (no interlining): Polartec 200 or 300 (also fleece); for 3-layer mitten (interlined): Polartec 100 or nylon taffeta (also microfleece). 

Fabric Requirements: 
Outer fabric (all widths):  1/3 to 1/2 yard
Interlining 1/4 to 1/2 yard
Lining: 1/3 to 1/2 yard

Notions:
1/4 yard of 1/4" elastic, thread.
