RS240 Convertible Bomber Hat

This quick and easy sewing pattern will make a warm, reversible hat to wear everywhere! Make in one, two, or three colors. The toggle keep the hat secure in bad weather, but can also allow the earflaps to be turned up. With two pattern pieces, easy instructions, and lots of sizes, you can make a hat for everyone in the family.  

Suggested Fabrics:
Polar fleece, sweatshirt fleece, or other fleece-type fabrics.  Fabric must have some stretch.

Sizing (head circumference): 
Infant: 14-16", Child S/M: 16-18", Child M/L: 18-20", Adult S/M: 20-22", Adult M/L: 22-24"

Fabric Requirements: 
Crown fabric (all widths): 10" to 15" (25.4cm to 38.1cm)  
Band fabric (all widths): 6" to 8" (15.2cm to 20.3cm)
Note: If you make the hat one color, you need only the amount of fabric indicated for the crown piece. For hats with two or three colors, you need the indicated amount of fabric for the bands as well.

Thread, Flat drawstring: Infant - 18” (45.7cm), Child - 21” (53.3cm), Adult - 24” (61cm)
